This Privacy Notice describes how Joey Yap Group of Companies and its related companies including but not limited to Joey Yap Research International Sdn Bhd, Joey Yap Research Group Sdn Bhd, Joey Yap Consulting Group Sdn Bhd, Joey Yap Private Limited, JY Workforce Dynamics Sdn Bhd and Merklynn Sdn Bhd (collectively referred to as "the Company", "us" or "we") collect, store and handle personal information (as defined below) of individuals is consistent with the Personal Data Protection Act of Malaysia and Singapore, as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union.

Information we collect from third parties
 From time to time, we may receive Personal Information about you from third party sources including partners with which we offer co-branded services or engage in joint marketing activities, and publicly available sources such as social media websites.

Purposes for the Collection of your Personal Information
 Your Personal Information will be used by the Company to:-

Referrals
 If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our products, you represent that you have their consent to provide us your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend an email inviting him or her to visit the website.

Please note that in some circumstances, we may not be able to fully comply with your requests, or we may ask you to provide us with additional information in connection with your request, which may be Personal Data, for example, if we need to verify your identity or the nature of your request. Protecting your Personal Information
 The Company ensures that your personal information is secured and protected. Your personal information is stored in a database, protected by password, and accessible only to you and the Company employees who require access to perform necessary responsibilities related to the management of your accounts. You can choose to access your registered information with the Company via our Secure Web Server that will encrypt the data while it is transferred through the Web. Our internal servers are also protected by firewalls that are continuously monitored. Employees of the Company are notified and regularly reminded about the importance the Company places on security and privacy, and what they can do to ensure that your information is protected. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Storage of Personal Information
 The Company will secure storage of the Personal Information collected in the following ways in compliance with the minimum-security measures prescribed under the PDPA, its regulation and standards:

  • control and limit access based on necessity
  • maintain proper record of access and transfer of Personal Information
  • ensure all employees of the Company protect confidentiality
  • conduct awareness programmes to all employees (if necessary) on responsibility to protect Personal Data
  • establish physical security procedures
  • bind third parties involved in processing of Personal Information
We retain the Personal Information we collect for so long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data was collected, to perform our contractual and legal obligations, and for any applicable statute of limitations periods for the purposes of bringing and defending claims.

 You acknowledge that in order to provide services to you, we may need to transfer your Personal Information to recipients in countries other than the country in which the information was originally collected. Sensitive Personal Information
 We will never ask you to provide sensitive Personal Information such as information about your medical or health records, political, religious or philosophical beliefs, criminal offences (alleged, or committed), criminal conviction background, racial or ethnic origin, trade union membership, sexual orientation, sexual history, behavior or genetic data. Please refrain from providing us with such sensitive Personal Information.

Childrens Privacy
 We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from a child below the age of sixteen (16), or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, without parental consent. If you are a child, please seek parental consent before your use of our products and services. You may submit your Personal Information with parental (or guardian’s) consent to us only. Your parents (or guardian) can contact us by email to privacy@joeyyap.com to revoke or withdraw any consent previously given, request for access, correction, download, block, deletion, objecting us from using some or all of your Personal Information (for example, your parents (or guardian) may contact us if he/she considers we may wrongfully collect and use your Personal Information) and restricting us from using your Personal Information under some certain circumstances (for example, your parents (or guardian) may contact us if he/she does not wish your personal data to be analyzed) at all times.

 You may opt out of receiving such marketing email messages at any time by sending a message with "unsubscribe" in the subject line to unsubscribe@joeyyap.com, or by following the instructions in any marketing communication.
