RAVE REVIEWS

Simply beautiful! Both the instructors are highly professional and dynamic. For the first time, I had been exposed to what real Feng Shui is all about and these amazing four days had been an enjoyable discovery all the way. I have found what I am looking for and I am determined to follow it through with the upcoming courses. Mastery Academy has opened a whole new world of learning for me. No words can describe my gratitude. The staff was really friendly too. Anyway, thank you so much. Eager to see you again soon.

Flying Stars Feng Shui
Source : I Property (May Issue)

by Joey Yap

Get to know the unique qualities of these stars and the crucial role that each has to play.

With the current increase in the awareness of the awesome power of Feng Shui, the knowledge of the latter is reaching a wider audience than ever before.

Many people now know that Feng Shui is an extremely useful tool that works by aiding us to achieve our goals and objectives, and is certainly not some 'magic' prescription (via object placement, amulets, etc) that will flip our luck overnight.

One of the most popular knowledge to come out of this 'Feng Shui Renaissance' is the Flying Stars Feng Shui, which is itself a subset of the San Yuan system.

Flying Stars refer to bodies of Qi (energy) and each has their own unique qualities. These can affect the well-being and function of the dwellers of a particular community, house, room or even specific area within a room.

Most practitioners are familiar with basic Flying Stars applications involving the activation of the current (or future) prosperous Stars. Many of them are also knowledgeable about the basic qualities of the other Stars such as Star 1, which can be regarded as a generally benevolent star regardless of the period , and Star 4 - while considered 'untimely' by some practitioners in this Period 8 - can often make someone more attractive.

Similarly, several Stars are often relegated as 'bad' stars, especially when Flying Stars knowledge is over-simplified in an effort to make it more palatable. Star 3 is often called the 'Argument Star', which can or wreak havoc on our interpersonal, spousal or other relationships, while poor Star 2 is typically (and unjustly) labeled as the 'Sickness Star'. Of course, the granddaddy of 'bad' Stars is the much feared 5 - Yellow Star.

Truth be told, all Flying Stars have their uses and each has a crucial role to play. All stars have specific qualities that serve their individual purpose. For example, Star 3, while causing one to be highly strung, is useful in stimulating change and rapid growth. Tap on the Qi of Star 7 if one desires a 'sweeter mouth' to improve one's gift-of-the-gab and competitive spirit.

There are no entirely good or bad Stars per se, as there are ways to tap into the positive effects of every Star (including the 5 - Yellow - although only by very experienced practitioners). At the same time, it is also necessary to understand and carefully manage their negative effects.

So the good news is that we can use all the Flying Stars. It is important to know exactly what sort of Qi would help us, and then choose which Stars to use to achieve the outcome that we want. We can also personalize the application of Flying Stars to each individual. The same Star can bring different benefits and exert varying levels of effects on different people.

The concepts of Xuan Kong Feng Shui, like all other Chinese metaphysics subjects, are multi-layered and built upon one another. With each layer that we understand and grasp, our application becomes more complete, concise and potent.
