RAVE REVIEWS

Thank you for sharing your passion Joey! I enjoy your teaching very much. I like your style –to make us think for ourselves, to question and to understand. I like this approach of not blindly accepting what a Master has said. I hope to know as much as you one day! And the best things is that I know you want me to be so too. May you receive a thousand blessings.

A Day with Dato' Joey Yap
Source : Vision KL (Jan Issue)
Date : 16 Jan 2014
by Jonathan Chong

I was never a superstitious person but I am fascinated by the art of Chinese Metaphysics, namely Chinese Astrology (BaZi) and Feng Shui. Since I was a teenager, I have been reading books on Chinese Astrology, always anxious to find out what is in store for me in the year ahead. Gradually, I discovered that Chinese Astrology is actually connected to the principles of BaZi. When I reached my twenties, I further discovered that Feng Shui also has a correlation with BaZi or Chinese Astrology.

Now I don't claim to be very knowledgeable in any of the aforementioned Chinese Metaphysics, far from that; to really understand and have a good grasp in these ancient sciences, one must undertake years and years of in-depth studies and research on the respective subjects.

For me, Chinese Astrology (BaZi) and to a certain extent, Feng Shui, are tools I use to learn more about myself. In my opinion, by truly understanding myself, I would be able to understand others better. And by knowing my strengths and weaknesses, I would be able to make more informed decisions to improve my life, to better prepare myself for what lies ahead. This is precisely what attracted me to the works of Joey.

I was first introduced to Joey through one of his books on Chinese Astrology recommended by a close friend seven years ago. I was immediately impressed with that book and became an avid reader of his annual Chinese Astrology book year after year. In other words, I became a big fan.

I won't go into details about Joey himself as this talented young Feng Shui consultant really needs no more introduction; his more than 120 bestselling books on Feng Shui, Chinese Astrology (BaZi), Qi Men Dun Jia, Face Reading and Yi Jing are testament to that.

Of the two subjects I am interested in, Feng Shui is the one that I know the least of. Therefore, I was very excited to be invited by the Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics (the organization founded by Joey) to attend one of the most anticipated Chinese metaphysics seminar of the year, the "Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar 2014: The Year of the Wood Horse" conducted by Joey himself. The seminar was held at the Plenary Hall of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Sunday, 12 January 2014.

It was a fantastic opportunity for me to learn more about Feng Shui, and to finally see Joey (for the very first time) live on stage. The seminar was a complete sell-out, more than 3,500 people attended, which exceeded the organizer's expectations.

Joey has been hosting this annual event for the past ten years, it had been successful in attracting participants the world over from United States, Canada, India, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore. This seminar in Kuala Lumpur is actually part of an eight-city world tour that began last October, which included stops in New York City, London, Slovenia and Manila.

Watching Joey presenting on stage was an absolute pleasure, he carries a charismatic stage presence that is on par with the world's most prominent public speakers such as the late Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, founder of Tesla Motors or Stephan Winkelmann, the CEO of Lamborghini.

Joey is brilliant in conveying complex Feng Shui principles into layman's terms; his presentation is also interlaced with bouts of humour, which explains why he has such broad appeal; he is both educational and entertaining.

Joey stated that the year 2014 will be a challenging year for many. However, the year also promises to hold many opportunities for serious investors. While the initial outlook may be gloomy, the year would smooth out into the third and fourth quarters.

"It all boils down to how you take advantage of the positive points available and make the best of these energies of the Wood Horse year," he said.

He revealed that in 2014, Fire related industries such as technology, hospitality, airline, food, telecommunication, military and electronics will perform especially well. This is followed by the Wood element industries like fashion, education, advisory services, furniture, timber and plantation which will also thrive this year.

Aside from the subject of Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology, Joey also discussed about BaZi and gave the audience an introduction to the principles of Qi Men Dun Jia.

If you're interested to learn more about Feng Shui, BaZi, Chinese Astrology or any other forms of Chinese Metaphysics, Joey has a plethora of books on these subjects that are available in popular bookstores nationwide.
