DAY 3 & 4: Up The Mountain |
What other perfect way to kick off the study of Landforms
than a trip to the mountains? Walking the Mountains
is an invaluable part of any Feng Shui student’s
journey to becoming a Master and the students of the
Mastery Academy had a chance to immediately put into
effect the orientation session on landforms and formulas
from the afternoon before during the journey to Genting
Highlands, a popular Malaysian tourist resort destination
located in the state of Pahang famous for its casino.

As we ascended, some students started putting their
knowledge into practice as they noticed the “Bei
Chen” (North Guardian Mountain) star guarding
the Qi Mouth to the Luo Cheng of the Genting Resort.
|
|
|
|
The bus arrived shortly before lunchtime and following
lunch, the students immediately ascended to the
18th floor, where they were afforded a panoramic
360 degree vista of the resort. There was some concern
as to whether or not the students would be able
to see anything as a heavy mist was evident as the
bus arrived. But as students of BaZi would put it,
the Gui was soon dissipated by a beautiful Bing
(translation for non-Bazi students: the sun came
up and the mist melted away!). Leaving students
with the opportunity to observe the layout of the
resort and the surrounding landforms. |

During
class with Joey Yap. |
The view were spectacular from the 18th floor.
Students were instantly able to recognise the San
Tai Feng, Yuan Bao formation and Ju Men veins , which
conformed to the San Ji Liu Shou principles that had
been explained in class earlier. They also learned
to see the actual formations as detailed in the classics
of Re Di Yan and Xue Xin Fu in a real life example.

|
|
|
Genting Highlands is a classical example of a
resort built within a powerful landform structure.
The surrounding mountains provide protection from
gusting wind (for as the classics note, Qi is dispersed
by Wind) and the resort is built within a spiral
city.
The resort is located in a “High-Level Dragon”
(Gou Guang Long). As such, no apparent “water”
formulas were needed since in “High Level
Dragon” Tian Chi or Heaven Pool water formation
is what helps the dragon vein form meridian spots.

The dragon vein of Genting Highlands forms various
Chastity star forms which are correctly tapped to using
the structural design of the buildings. The land embrace
holds various Shimmering Stars (Yao Xing) circulating
excellent Qi in the building area. Students also noted
that the landform complies to the Ling Zheng, Zheng
Yang Zheng Yin as well as the 24 Tian Xing principles. |
|
|
The focus of Genting was to remind students
that when it comes to macro sized projects, like casinos
and business districts, it’s the BIG PICTURE that
counts. The big structure. The landform. And not the
water holes or small water exits found next to drains
and pathways. Even veteran students who had been to
Genting on many previous occasions came away with many
new insights and a whole new perspective on the Feng
Shui of Genting Highlands, thanks to Joey’s careful
and detailed explanation of the Luan Tou of the area. |

Read what some of the students have to say about the course:
"A wonderful experience. I particularly like the
approach for the classical topic. A big thank you to you and
your team for making this course possible." - Leong
Soon Peng
"Applause for your innovative work, ideas from your
in-depth research and your unselfish teachings on Feng Shui
which truly gave me a real perspective of what this metaphysic
science is all about.
Thank you Joey, master and friend, for pushing me to this
level and teaching me how to walk my passion. You are a real
"Guru" in this super-multi Feng Shui Corridor in
Malaysia or around the world. We love you always."
- Margaret Yip
"Thank you Joey for this great course. I am starting
to understand the whole concept, checking the essential first
and not getting lost in minor details. I finally know the
background of the formulas, which I believe, will make my
future much easier. It was a pleasure to listen to all your
comments. My perspective has changed." - Elisabeth
Stuker
"I am very, very fortunate for all the Feng Shui knowledge
and wisdom Joey generously imparted and shared with us; all
of would have taken many lifetimes to acquire." - Weng
Yin Wong
"I am really very happy to be able to attend this
class. It has really given me a new insight into the real
world of Feng Shui. And to be able to do it on a mega scale.
Not many people have the chance to do it.
My appreciation to Master Joey for this unselfish manner in
providing to all the formulas and answers to our queries.
Best of all, at least I know I didn't have to go around chasing
for directions and unnecessary formulas. I look forward to
attending more courses with Joey because I know I am in good
hands." - Jerry Koh
