The Sunday of January 23 had a number of people in Kuala Lumpur roused off their beds early by their alarm instead of sleeping in. For one day only, they will congregate at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre for one important event: Joey Yap's annual Feng Shui & Astrology for 2011 seminar.
The day before already saw a large crowd attending the seminar in Cantonese. The English seminar on this day saw an overwhelming presence from regular annual seminar attendees and first timers alike.
Bright and early, all was a-buzz at the registration counter and product booths outside the Plenary Hall, as the attendees were all excited to learn what they can from Joey Yap himself. The Plenary Hall was packed with people by the time Joey went on-stage to start his seminar at 10am. He wasted no time in sharing his insights and forecast for 2011, the Year of the Metal Rabbit.
Joining Joey on-stage for the English seminar this time was another familiar face, model and popular celebrity, Stephanie Chai. Their banter on-stage kept the audience entertained, especially during the Face Reading session, which sends laughter through the Plenary Hall.
This seminar's theme is entitled "Empowering Your Destiny". Joey focused his teachings on basic BaZi (Astrology), Face Reading and Date Selection, useful applications to give the attendees an edge to make the best of 2011. The BaZi outlook session, that incorporated individual Day Masters, was a clear crowd favorite. In the Face Reading segment, Joey demonstrated the fascinating reason how certain parts of the year are able to affect certain parts of a person's face depending on their Astrology sign. The audience, without a doubt, had a fun time learning these methods and was eager to put the skills they learnt immediately.
Joey also revealed the Feng Shui forecast for the year, outlining the outlook for various industries. Everyone was all ears when he explained the Annual Afflictions for the year, things to watch out for, and remedies to 'cure' or at least minimize the negative effects from those inauspicious sectors of the year.
Aside from the seminar, Joey's latest book, The Ten Gods was a hit and had many scurrying for their copy during each break.
At the end of the event, an autograph-signing session was held where many attendees seized the opportunity to have a quick chat and photo op with Joey.
The rare opportunity to meet their favourite speaker in person and even have their pictures taken with him is not one they would want to pass up!
Another seminar ended with success! With all the knowledge gained at the seminar, the attendees clearly looked forward to welcome the Year of the Metal Rabbit with confidence and are ready to empower their destiny in the months ahead.
