Let's imagine for a minute that a neighbourhood building has collapsed. Naturally, and regardless of prior knowledge, we would be tempted to point a finger at the contractor of the said building. In certain cases, this might be true. In others, however, a completely unrelated scenario might surface. Out of convenience, we might resolve to the easy way out, but for matters concerning your life's key issues, how might this alternative actually fare?
In Feng Shui, examining a situation based solely from a quick-fix methodology is very much inconclusive. Hence, this is where a comprehensive Feng Shui consultation fills the gap. The process seeks to truly understand the situation, as opposed to merely solving it from a locked-in methodology.
Consider this real-life example.
A young man was having a particularly tough time sorting out his sluggish career. Despite a shake-up in his work desk's facing direction, things were looking far from pleasant. It was decided, at that point, a full-on Feng Shui audit was necessary to un-root the cause of the problem.
First of all, his desk faced North - a sector that although hinted on gains through property and real estate field, actually didn't do much to turn his luck around. Hence, even though his Life Gua - his personal energy map - of #4 was a match for this facing direction, North was merely a good sector, as opposed to a really effective one that supposedly set a positive chain of motion for his career.
Establishing himself in the Sales and Marketing industry, networking and people relations were his bread and butter to sustain a steady career progress. Due to this, North wasn't really the Perfect 10 sector for him. What he needed was actually the South sector, with its positive energy for Noble People, to jumpstart his connections and encounter with helpful individuals around. Otherwise known as Tian Yi, the South sector relates to meeting new people, which matched the function and job nature of his career.
He soon found a smoother course of dealing in his career.
Clearly, this case underscores the 'leave-no-stone-unturned' mantra every Chinese Metaphysics practitioner, student or enthusiast should bear in mind. Though it may not be about the quantity, going one step further in understanding the situation could really serve in providing a better assessment to your situation.
