One of the most nerve - wracking yet common experiences of modern life is the job interview. Nowadays, it's common for people to try on a variety of job roles and move around quite a bit in an industry even while looking for a long-term career. Plenty of people also freelance and thus may have to undergo several "interviews" with their clients and potential employers, even if it's not a typical interview in the strict sense of the term. As such, planning for a job interview is more necessary than ever. In a highly-competitive economy, having the proper skills and resume is just the basics-what counts even more is making the right impression!
This is where Chinese Date Selection can help. Date Selection aims to make "at the right place, at the right time" possess actual relevance. Why leave things to luck and chance when you can make an effort to plan ahead? The philosophy and method behind Date Selection is to schedule a certain activity or allow a certain activity to be 'activated' during a point in time in the calendar when the energies are most conducive for a particular activities without having to compute and calculate the energy patterns and cycles to determine the right time to do a particular thing. The Tong Shu is essential, being as it is the one basic tool you need from which to practice Date Selection.
The most important thing will be to avoid your own Personal Breaker Days. Determining your Personal Breaker Day is fairly simple. The Personal Breaker is the day that clashes with your personal animal sign based on your year of birth. Most of us are already aware of our personal animal sign from the 12 Animal of Chinese Astrology, but if you don't know yours, you can go to www.masteryacademy.com and plot your BaZi chart. From there, look at the Earthly Branch animal under your Year Pillar.
Your Personal Breaker Day is the day that clashes with your personal animal sign as shown in the chart below.
Let's say you are born in the year of the Rat. The clash dates are then days of the Horse, which are your Personal Breaker Days. You should also avoid the Month Breaker Days for a particular month as outlined in the annual Tong Shu. And since we're talking about "Breakers" in general, we should also avoid using the Day Breaker hour for the day that we have chosen. For example, if the day of the interview is an Ox Day, then we have to avoid the Goat Hour, which is the Day Breaker hour.
In addition, if possible, you should also avoid the Monthly Three Killings days. All these methods are outlined in detail in Joey Yap's Personal Date Selection book.
And where possible, choose a Success, Stable or Receive Day for your interview. Also, since the job interview hinges on getting support and approval from others, an excellent strategy will be to employ the Nobleman Days. The methods for how to pick your Nobleman days is also outlined in the Personal Date Selection book.
Learning to do Date Selection is fairly straightforward, and you will be able to implement if for many activities in your life besides the obvious ones like job interviews and business openings. There are times when you might want a specialized Date Selection consultation, or you can sign up for one of the Mastery Academy's training workshops or classes to learn the skill for yourself!
