21 Dec 2005 - Royal Selangor Club, Malaysia. On Wednesday, 21 st December Joey Yap was invited to talk on Feng Shui for 2006 and Mian Xiang for Business at the Royal Selangor Club. The talk was held for Multi-Purpose Insurans Bhd's agents and staff.
Joey started with the basic principles of Feng Shui and explained how classical Feng Shui did not have anything to do with spirituality or religion and that it should be approached in a scientific manner. He also explained how classical Feng Shui could be applied effectively and in the process, cleared up the superstition and old wives tales surrounding this art. To some in the audience, this was a new perspective on Feng Shui, others were familiar with Joey's approach to Feng Shui and were keen to hear what his outlook for the year ahead held in store.
He introduced the audience to the Annual Flying Star chart and showed them how they could make use of the respective areas to benefit from the annual Qi of the Fire Dog Year. The attendees were seen busy taking notes and clarifying some points that Joey Yap had made.
After the short tea break, Joey Yap focused on Mian Xiang – Face Reading. This was a subject that had the attendees quickly breaking out their pocket mirrors or intently studying the faces of their friends and colleagues to see how the facial features matched what Joey was pointing out. He spoke at length about the 5 Officers and focused on what a person could read based on these facial features. There were many questions on what various facial characteristics meant and Joey spent a further 20 minutes to make sure the attendees had their questions answered before the session ended.
