It was a Monday evening, and the Straits Garden Restaurant in downtown Johor Bahru was brimming with a crowd of more than 700 people. HSBC Bank's Premier clients were there to celebrate with HSBC's Chinese New Year Gathering - Shanghai Night and more importantly, hear what Joey Yap had to share with them on the prospects for 2007!

Many members of the audience were longtime fans who took the opportunity to catch up with Joey before his talk. Among the important members of the audience were a number of prominent VIPs, including members of the Johor Royal Family. A thunderous round of applause greeted him as the emcee duly welcomed him to the stage.

Greeting his audience, Joey wasted no time in launching into his talk. Judging by the laughter and chuckles that resonated across the Restaurant throughout the talk, it was evident that the crowd enjoyed Joey's talk all round. The talk ended with Joey joining HSBC's clients for a Loh Sang start to the dinner.
