Joey Yap was invited by New York City Chapter of the International Feng Shui Guild at the Meta Center to present a talk to its members and interested students and practitioners. The talk was approximately an hour and a half, and saw Joey speaking to a venue-full of NYC Feng Shui practitioners who were keen to hear more about a somewhat "different" perspective on Feng Shui than what they were used to - Classical Landform Feng Shui! As the International Feng Shui Guild is committed to uniting Feng Shui practitioners, educators, and students in their common interest and support of the practice, it was therefore an ideal avenue in which Joey could further his message of the importance of Classical Feng Shui over New Age Feng Shui.
As Joey used examples from around the area to further their understanding on the tenets and principles of Classical Feng Shui, many of practitioners were amazed at the discrepancies that existed between authentic Feng Shui and common New Age Feng Shui practices - many of the latter, which, as Joey explained, had no basis or roots in traditional Feng Shui at all!
The talk then progressed into a discussion and question-and-answer period between Joey and the members of the audience, as many were brimming over with questions and queries related to what Joey had just elucidated at length. It was a true meeting of minds, and the spirited discussion that followed did much to further the general knowledge of Feng Shui. The discussion was also infused by a spirit of friendliness and camaraderie, as many present had also attended Joey's 'Thriving in Challenging Times' Seminar in Times Square, as well as his other events that had taken place in New York throughout his time there.
It was truly a fitting finale to Joey's stint in New York City, and due to its success, one certainly hopes there will be many more opportunities in the future!
