The Traders’ Room at local financial intermediary RHB Bank’s corporate headquarters in Kuala Lumpur was abuzz with an activity of a different kind on that Saturday. More than 200 investors and clients of its business banking division, RHB Securities, converged there with one purpose:
To hear what Joey Yap had to share with them on the overall outlook for the Year of the Fire Boar.
And as the clock ticked 9.45 a.m., Joey strolled to the front of the Room, and proceeded to greet his audience. He started the ball rolling by defining classical Feng Shui and how it can be used to improve Health, Relationship, Career and Wealth prospects, in general. As he touched on this particular topic, Joey also emphasized to those present that rather than product-based, classical Feng Shui is about utilizing the factors of Direction, Location and Time in harnessing the natural energies of the environment to facilitate endeavors.
With this understanding established, he moved on to the topic of Flying Stars, which allow us to identify the type of energies (known as `Qi’ in Chinese) that affect each individual sector of a residence or office. The audience listened with rapt attention as Joey shared with them which sectors were considered ideal (for which endeavors), and which sectors were best avoided.
A Q&A session towards the end of this talk saw many questions on classical Feng Shui and its general applicability being posed to Joey, who proceeded to answer them in his direct yet humorous style. Approximately 1 hour after it began, investors and clients of RHB Securities’ left the Room with satisfied looks on their faces – having enjoyed 60 minutes of useful tips, dispensed to them in a candid, refreshing manner!
