The Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology Outlook for 2007 for OCBC Bank’s Premier Banking Clients in Ipoh and Penang

25th - 26th January 2006

Joey Yap’s annual talk on the Feng Shui and Astrology Outlook for the year is an event eagerly looked forward to by for Premier Banking Clients of the OCBC Bank, which lined up a series of talks to provide insights into 2007.

The latest series of annual talk was the third year that the bank had presented to its premier clients.

On January 25th, Joey was invited to hold the talk for OCBC’s clients in Ipoh and a day later in Penang. Not surprisingly, the talk at both venues garnered a warm response from the bank’s clients.

The lunch-talk event in Ipoh was held at the well-known Indulgence Restaurant. Even before the talk began, all seats were taken up by enthusiastic OCBC Bank’s clients who were looking forward to another fruitful session with Joey.

Joey, who started his talk by giving his audience a clear definition of classical Feng Shui, made sure the audience understood and was able to differentiate the difference between classical and new age Feng Shui by explaining the core principles of classical Feng Shui.

Excitement filled the air as Joey appeared on the stage. Some came prepared with note books while others had their questions thought out. During the talk, many of the audience were seen busily jotting down pointers given by Joey on what they should and should not do in 2007.

He also explained to the audience how Feng Shui could be utilized to improve quality of life, predicting what the Year of the Fire Boar heralds for everyone.

The Q&A session held after the talk was well received by the audience. Joey took time to answer each and every question in detail to ensure that the audience understood the content of his talk and derived the full benefit from it.

Located in the FMS building along Jalan Raja DiHilir, Ipoh, the Indulgence Restaurant serves Malaysian and Chinese street fare on a more up-market scale. The décor of the restaurant gives an ambience of a bygone colonial era with its old posters and antiques.

At the talk in Penang – a dinner event held at the famed Eastern & Oriental Hotel – the crowd also gave a similar enthusiastic response. For some of the OCBS’s clients, the exciting and informative event was their first time meeting Joey in person.

In addition to gaining the insights of the Feng Shui Outlook for 2007, the audience was also able to determine the positive and negative sectors for the year and consequently, take the appropriate action so as to maximize the positive Qi and mitigate the negative Qi.

Although the audience appeared reserved initially, they quickly began to warm up as the talk started. Laughers filled the floors as Joey shared his anacdotes and jokes with the audience.

At the end of the session, Joey opened the floor for questions. A number of the participants did not waste the chance to clarify on matters that were unclear to them and managed to get direct, precise response from Joey.

After the talk ended, many people took the opportunity to meet up with Joey to thank him for providing useful tips that they could utilize throughout 2007.

Established in 1885 by the Sarkies brothers, the E&O Hotel was patronized by colonial administrators, planters as well as the local and international elite during the colonial era. Among the famous personalities who had stayed at the hotel were Noel Coward, Douglas Fairbanks, Hermann Hesse, Rudyard Kipling and Somerset Maugham.

Today, the E&O is still the choice of many travellers.
