The grand ballroom of the
five-star Renaissance Hotel in Kuala Lumpur was filled to capacity on 11th January
2004. Joey’s talk, titled Feng Shui for Period 8, was more than well received
and many first-timers instantly got smitten with Feng Shui during this event.
Why? Joey’s talk was intensive and proved to be a great introduction of Classical
Feng Shui for beginners. His first half introductory on Feng Shui was both concise
and encompassing, even covering the basics of Xuan Kong or Flying Stars.
Joey then moved on to the
main topic, which touched on the highs, lows and in-betweens of Period 8. He also
delved deep in the differences and similarities of Periods 7 and 8, and gave innumerable
examples to illustrate his point.
Joey’s talk was refreshing
to his audience in the sense that he was able to demystify and clear a lot of
misconceptions about Period 8 and to the relief of many in the audience, Period
8 does not indeed signify a total redo of houses and work offices as suggested
by some practitioners. Joey illustrated how some homes don’t even need a single
change, and total renovations a rarity in order to keep up with the next period.
The event was interspersed with lunch and refreshments breaks whereby the audience
mingled with Joey, thanking him for his sincere, direct approach in discussing
the much-anticipated Period 8.
