Joey Yap was invited by MPH Bookstores Malaysia to launch his newly-released book, Walking the Dragons, at its store in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. The launch was held between 3 and 4 PM on a Thursday afternoon.
Fans started trickling in early to the venue, securing their seats well before Joey made his appearance. It was a warm and intimate setting for a very unique and special book. Joey began with an introduction to the inspiration behind the making of the book, and explained why the book was the first of its kind in terms of explaining Feng Shui on the basis pure Classical Landform Feng Shui.
He then charmed the crowd with interesting anecdotes on the Feng Shui aspects of various places in China, warning audience members not to fall for the ploy of tourist guides at the Forbidden City in Beijing, who will try to ply tourists with information of the "Feng Shui of the City" - which are all, of course, false! Joey explained how Walking the Dragons showed readers how Feng Shui affects lives by drawing examples from famous historical personages and royal figures, allowing the reader to notice, thereby, how the correct application of Feng Shui brought success not just to one person, but a whole line of descendants and an entire throne.
To bring the matter closer to home, he outlined the landform Feng Shui formation around the Mid Valley area, asking audience members if they knew that a river exists in the area! Indeed it does, and it circles the area, thereby explaining the success of the location of Megamall. According to Joey, this just goes to show the power of landform Feng Shui in shaping people's lives.
After his speech, Joey took questions from the audience members, one of whom lightened the mood instantly by asking if there were any discounts on the books! After acknowledging that that was indeed one question he couldn't answer, Joey then went on to answer some of the more serious questions, and ended the session by signing copies of his books.
