November 8, 2008
Between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM on the Saturday of November 8, the Doubletree Guest Suites in Times Square, New York was alive with activity as long-time students and new enthusiasts packed the venue for the 'Thriving in Challenging Times Using Classical Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology' seminar.
Although Joey has taught extensively throughout the US, this was Joey's first time in New York and it was an exciting and long-awaited moment for both him and the MA staff on hand, as well as for the students and practitioners who were keen to hear him speak. The sophisticated venue proved to be an ideal learning ground as participants settled in to hear Joey speak about the forecast for 2009.
The seminar was full of helpful tips on how to prepare for a more successful 2009, and it was specifically geared to current global concerns surrounding food and fuel prices, economic inflation, and recession worries. It was an especially timely seminar and the overwhelming turnout was an indication of the suitability of the topic.
Joey skillfully displayed the uses of Classical Feng Shui and Astrology for a better future, taking participants through the Feng Shui outlook and Afflictions for 2009, including the Annual Flying Stars outlook. Participants were briefed on the auspicious and inauspicious sectors for 2009, and what this could mean in the year 2009. They were shown how it could invariably affect various parts of their lives, especially in terms of career, wealth, health, and relationships.
A large part of the seminar also focused on Chinese Astrology as well as Face Reading, with a particularly informative and intriguing segment on the Face Fortune for 2009. Participants for also briefed on possible solutions and techniques to be used for the Feng Shui Afflictions in store. There were numerous questions posed by the participants who were eager to know more, and Joey gladly took these various questions in stride as it gave everyone an opportunity to learn more about the topics at hand.
After the seminar was over, participants grabbed the opportunity to meet Joey in person and exchange a few words with him, while some were also keen to take some photographs with the famed Feng Shui teacher and practitioner. Many people were seen milling about, talking with both Joey and the MA staff present, and they registered a high interest in knowing more about the Academy and Joey's various classes and consults.
It was a fun, informative, and indeed, 'thriving' seminar this time for Joey's first appearance in New York, and it is certainly hoped that there will be more visits to the vibrant and exciting Big Apple in the future!
