November 5, 2008
November 5, 2008 saw Joey Yap take the stage at the famed non-profit cultural centre and gallery, Asia House, for a presentation entitled "How Chinese Metaphysics Really Works." Beginning at approximately 6:45 PM in the evening, the topic was suited to the beautiful and inspiring venue, as the Asia House is an organisation that is focused on Asian business, politics, current affairs, literature and the visual and performing arts, and is housed in a richly-historic building in London based on neo-classical architecture.
The event was open to the public, and therefore it was incredibly gratifying to have seen a very good turnout, and a full house of participants and attendees. For about approximately an hour, Joey explained to all present the original roots of Classical Feng Shui and the basis of authentic Chinese Metaphysics, putting to rest all modern myths surrounding new age practices of these disciplines.
Joey focused on how Feng Shui can be applied to real life, explaining how it was more than ancient theories that were alive in the pages of a book, and that it is also readily-applicable to real life situations and scenarios. This greatly interested the participants, especially when Joey specified the areas in life that could be assisted by the use of proper and authentic Feng Shui: career, wealth, relationships, health, and basically... all aspects of life! A lot of questions were raised about the applicability of Feng Shui in career, and Joey took all queries into consideration for the interest of the audience.
After that insightful exploration into the rudiments and history of Classical Feng Shui, as well as its modern-day applicability, everyone present was treated to refreshments. This was a chance for the participants to mingle with Joey, and with each other, and many lingered over the delicious bites provided and the stimulating conversation that ensued, providing a fitting finish to a very special evening.
