Saturday, February 21st 2009
On early Saturday morning, February 21, the Sofitel Melbourne was already a hive of activity. Joey Yap's Feng Shui and Astrology for 2009 seminar, with the theme 'Thriving in Challenging Times,' was taking place at the venue and the general level of energy was high. Many people had travelled from all around Australia to attend this much-anticipated annual seminar.
Also adding an element of excitement to the event was the presence of the TV crew from one of Australia's top rated TV shows on Channel 7, 'Today Tonight.' They were there to film segments of Joey's seminar throughout the day.
Having taken to the stage to a round of warm and appreciative applause, Joey launched right into the seminar, where he began with an introductory overview of the Feng Shui and BaZi outlook for the year ahead. He outlined the industry outlook from an economic and Feng Shui standpoint, based on the Five Elements of Chinese Metaphysics.
The BaZi outlook for the year saw the audience members eagerly taking down notes, as many were keen to apply this knowledge to their own lives. Joey's BaZi outlooks typically go beyond the 12 Animal Signs to provide a more detailed outlook incorporating individual Day Masters.
The lunch break provided an excellent opportunity for the participants to browse through some of the offerings in the booths set up outside the seminar hall. Many were familiar with the Mastery Academy staff and took the time to exchange pleasantries, while others were eager to obtain copies of Joey Yap's Feng Shui and Astrology books for 2009, or were simply curious to learn more about his upcoming events.
The session after the lunch break provided an opportunity for the audience members to dive deeper into the Astrology outlook for 2009. This was the segment of the talk when printouts of the individual BaZi charts became handy for everyone present!
Joey's trademark Face Fortune reading segment was also a huge hit with the audience. It's particularly intriguing for the reason that it can explain how certain parts of the year are able to affect certain parts of your face depending on your Astrology sign. Those parts of your face correspond to different aspects of your life, as observed in Face Reading.
Feng Shui principles and techniques based on Good and Bad dates formed a major chunk of the final segment of the talk. Joey explained to the audience just exactly what is required in the practice of Date Selection and how Good and Bad Dates can make the difference between failure and success in many important activities, some examples being job interviews, marriages, business deals, house move-ins, and product launches.
After the final segment at around 5 PM, there was a book signing session that provided seminar participants with an opportunity to get their books signed by Joey. Many were very keen and excited to exchange a few words with him, or even to take some pictures with him!
There was also an additional information session at around 6 pm for the many Australian practitioners and serious Feng Shui enthusiasts who had attended the seminar. Many of them had their interest piqued when Joey shared with them the techniques of Xuan Kong Flying Stars Feng Shui, and its predictive capabilities within a property.
Joey's dynamic presentation style kept the audience glued to their seats throughout the day-long seminar and gave them an inclusive, informative forecast guide for the year of the Earth Ox. Participants left the seminar armed with the information needed to try to make their 2009 a successful and thriving year.
