March 26 – 27, 2009
San Francisco Feng Shui practitioners and enthusiasts got an additional treat when Joey Yap held his ZeRi (Date Selection) Mastery Series class on his stop-over in the city for his annual Feng Shui and Astrology for 2009 talk. The class was held prior to the talk, and took place on a Thursday and Friday of March 26th and 27th at the Sheraton Fisherman Wharf's Hotel in the city.
As Module 1 is a beginner's foundation course on Date Selection, the class was appropriately filled with students eager to get started on one of these time-tested, ancient complementary practices to Feng Shui and BaZi. The key essentials of Module 1, which involved the Year, Month, and Day Star systems, as well as other components like the rudiments of the Chinese calendar, and the relationships between the Stems and Branches of BaZi and what this means in Date Selection practice.
Module 1 also focused on the key differences of Date Selection for Feng Shui activities, and personal ones. Joey then explained how to apply this knowledge to achieve practical results in the real world, which was naturally the eye-opening aspect of it for most students. While the theories of Date Selection sound good on paper, the practical application of it is what is truly astounding. When it is authentically and accurately applied, Date Selection is not only precise, but predictive as well, being able to effect outcomes in a variety of ways.
Date Selection, then, is not merely about selecting the right date for any activity – but also about choosing the right date that will produce the desired results. This is the reason why the practice of Date Selection is a very potent and highly-sought after skill, and why it goes hand-in-hand with the practice of Feng Shui and BaZi.
To further enhance the students' understanding, Joey drew examples from real-life case studies to serve as a guide. This helped students to gain a clearer picture of the practical uses of Date Selection, and enabled them to comprehend better how they can begin to apply it in their own lives.
