Xuan Kong Module 1, 3rd & 4th March 2007
Vin Leo’s demeanor is that of a calm and soft-spoken person, yet when he speaks, his authoritative tone seems to invariably command the respect – and attention – of his listeners. At Joey Yap’s request, he dutifully assumed his role as the instructor of both the Xuan Kong Modules 1 and 2A classes held in KL from March 3rd to 7th.
Xuan Kong by itself is a highly developed branch of Feng Shui. Its versatility in assessing landforms to determining Qi patterns contributes to its popularity and importance as a specialized field of study. Put simply, it is a metaphysical science that entails the study of numerology and the symbolism and interpretation of the Ba Gua (Eight Trigrams), coupled with the mathematics of Time.
Vin warmed his students up to the concept and idea behind Xuan Kong, by first narrating its origins and fundamental principles to his students. In this Advanced Foundation Program, students were introduced to the gist of Xuan Kong theories such as the Five Elements and Numerology were shared and discussed in detail, before plunging into the Ba Gua and Time Cycles that are essential towards a strong Xuan Kong foundation.
Since knowledge of Xuan Kong enables a practitioner to just walk into a property, glimpse into what has taken place there and predict what is bound to happen to its occupants in the future, Xuan Kong’s greatest asset lies in House Divination. Additional (but necessary) contents such as Star Combinations, the role and types of Water in Xuan Kong and Cyclical Afflictions consummated Module 1, before case studies were served as a befitting dessert to a course that asserts itself as an Advanced Foundation Program.
And judging from the comments given by students at the end of Module 1, the learning curve was indeed a steep – but substantially informative – one!
Xuan Kong Module 2, 3rd-5th February 2007
If Module 1 was an Advanced Foundation Program, Module 2A was an Advanced Methodologies Course that educated students on the highly sophisticated formulas and techniques used by the ancient Xuan Kong master – derived from the classics.
Taking the helm in continuing where he left-off in Module 1 was Vin once again, and he kick-started Module 2A with a brisk yet insightful narration of the Four Factors that feature most prominently in Xuan Kong. Vin augmented his students’ already-considerable amount of knowledge by showing them how to analyze different Star Combinations and Timeliness – which are pre-requisites towards allowing any practitioner the ability to predict what has yet to happen to a property and its occupants.
Module 2A finally eased to an end with a discussion on Xuan Kong’s remarkable capability in analyzing health issues to even the most miniscule detail. The outstretched hands that Vin later shook bore testimony to the fact that the course contents had indeed benefited students!
