Mumbai, India (15th -18th July 2007)
An international mix of students and practitioners from as far away as Europe and South Africa found themselves gathered at the posh Intercontinental Hotel’s Czar Bar…not to drink and make merry, but to pursue their interest in the `Classic of Changes’ – the Yi Jing.
One of the oldest classical Chinese texts surviving today, the Yi Jing used to function as an oracle for divination purposes in ancient China. Over the millennia, it has evolved into its versatile form, so much so that the Mastery Academy introduced the Plum Blossom Numerology (Mei Hua Yi Shu) Method for its Yi Jing Module 2 class in Kuala Lumpur, in 2006.
Module 1 occupied the first two days of these back-to-back courses, where students were duly introduced to the fundamentals of the Yi Jing, its various applications and the possibilities that can be derived from them.
In Module 2 - which took place on the 17th and 18th - students were promptly inducted into the Plum Blossom Numerology Method, which is more a `Science of Probability’, than a `Science of Divination’. With this Method, immensely accurate predictions are made possible, to a specific query posed. And just like the study of probability in Mathematics, they subsequently learnt that one has to be `unbiased’ in the process of deriving outcomes.
All in all, it was an eventful, informative 4 days for everyone who undertook that Passage to India…as they participated in the case studies presented with zest and enthusiasm.
