Joey’s inaugural Face Reading or Mian Xiang Seminar was held on 18th January 2004 at the Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics. What was intended to be a small class ballooned to big proportions, but it was all in good spirits for Joey’s Face Reading Seminar was a truly enthralling talk to attend.

Joey led his students through a walk-through of Face Reading, from its historical roots to present day perceptions on such a delicate and intriguing art. His talk was full of comprehensive pointers, and he provided various fascinating material on face reading for the audience to chew on. At the end of the seminar, some of the audience was even glancing at each other’s faces to practice their newfound skills.

  

Joey also gave some examples of accurate face reading by using pictures of George Bush and recently deceased Hong Kong superstar Anita Mui. The audience was engrossed during Joey’s astute and informative analysis and was also impressed with the accuracy of the arts of Mian Xiang.

The highly absorbing talk was an eye-opener for the audience, who, rarely being acquainted with such arts, felt that the accuracy and technical detail of Joey’s teaching method effectively dispelled the smoke-and-incense notion of Mian Xiang. At the end of the course, most students expressed that they enjoyed the subject especially presented by Joey in his astute yet humorous style.
