August 23 – 24, 2008
Over the course of two jam-packed days from the 23rd to 24th of August, 2008, students of Joey Yap's BaZi Mastery Series Module 3: Advanced Practitioners' Programme were taken on an exhilarating ride through Destiny Analysis and beyond. Held at the Lafayette Room in Galleria Park Hotel, San Francisco, the class was intensive and somewhat longer in duration than the usual Mastery Academy classes, as it was held from 9 AM to 7 PM on both days.
It was evident from the expressions on the students' faces, and the comments elicited, that Module 3 was somewhat of a “breakthrough” module for most of them – all the theory and principles they had learned prior during Modules 1 and 2 became real as they absorbed and incorporated the powerful techniques of practical application. After going through an Overview section that included a detailed explanation on the uses of BaZi and Assessment Formats, students were then taught the Palaces and their influences in detail.
The section of the course that seemed to generate the most interest and curiosity was the Assessment Concepts, which formed the bulk of the Module 3 course content. Interspersed with Joey's wry and straightforwardly funny comments to lighten the serious mood, students went through the Big Assessment and Small Assessment procedures, including a focused explication on the Luck Pillars.
The Module ended with the Assessment Methods section which demonstrated to students how BaZi can be applied to analyse those nearest and dearest to them – everyone from grandparents to grandchildren – including a special section devoted to Case Studies, where students analysed various BaZi charts under Joey's guidance in order to strengthen their reading skills and fortify their confidence.
Module 3 piqued the students' interest and curiosity to an extent that most were already keyed-up and ready to go for Module 4!
