August 27 – 31, 2008
Fresh after their newly-learned practical application skills in BaZi Module 3, eager students descended again onto the Lafayette Room in Galleria Park Hotel, San Francisco for the final module in the BaZi Mastery Series. It was also the longest in duration and held over the course of 4 days, from August 27th to 31st, from 10 AM to 5 PM daily.
The class began with a concentrated focus on the 60 Jia Zi (or the Four Pillars). This particular section was greeted with much enthusiasm and excitement as the day wore on, since students were taught how to be able to sum up a person quite thoroughly just by knowing his or her Day Pillar, without having to resort to the 10 Gods. As Joey explained, this was literally a quick method to ascertain people that one interacts with on a regular basis – colleagues at the workplace, for example.
Students were also taught the Ancient Classics, which were full of short, pithy anecdotes related to BaZi and its application to one's life. One classic source in particular managed to coax out more than a few chuckles from the students – and that was the "How Do You Know" song, with its witty one-liner "solutions" to life's important questions using BaZi.
Another key section of Module 4 was the Date Selection methods. Joey shared with students certain methods of Date Selection, including the vital Dong Gong method, and also taught them how to do a Caesarean Birth Calculation – which in the professional BaZi practice circuit commands quite a fair bit of money for its complexity and sophistication.
BaZi Module 4 was the "final frontier," so to speak, that students had to cross in order to complete their BaZi education. Fittingly, the Module ended with a graduation ceremony that rewarded students for their hard work throughout the course of four very demanding Modules. With this BaZi Mastery Diploma in hand, students can go on to practice BaZi confidently in their own lives, for their own personal use, or opt to pursue it as a professional practice. A graduation dinner was held to commemorate the event. Joey and students, including some members of the Mastery Academy team, moved on to a restaurant in Chinatown for a much-deserved celebration – and a wonderful time was had by all amidst the good food and relaxing atmosphere.
Here's to the accomplished graduates of BaZi Mastery Series Module 4!
