Yi Jing Module 2 is a course that is focused on the component of probability inherent in the Yi Jing, rather than focusing on its philosophical aspects. By concentrating on the factors that are calculable, the results derived are accurate and relevant.

Module 2 is based on Plum Blossom Yi Jing, which is a part of the Image-Numerology school of Yi Jing. It differs from the Philosophy School in that it focuses on the Image and Calculation aspects of the Yi Jing, with little or no emphasis or reference to the original text.

In essence, the Plum Blossom method is derived from the Yi concept but foregoes the need to refer to the original Gua texts in using the Yi Jing. The results of a hexagram are interpreted by referring to the Gua meanings - as opposed to the Philosophy School's approach of only relying on the original Gua texts.

Plum Blossom Yi Jing does not ignore the content of the original Gua texts; it merely considers these to be just one of the many ingredients required for the purpose of divination. The Gua texts used in Traditional Yi Jing serve purely as a guide, rather than as a definitive oracle in itself.

The Plum Blossom method is more comprehensive and yet still specific, as it considers a wider range of factors and variables in deriving the hexagrams that are ultimately used to deduce and predict outcomes.
